PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE 

Born and raised in Seward, Alaska, I am a business graduate of the University of Alaska, Fairbanks, where I also played on the Nanooks basketball team. Upon completion of a three year tour in the Army, I settled in Anchorage with my family in 1968. I became a licensed realtor in 1975 and have worked continuously in the real estate industry since then. My experience comprises all phases of the business, including new and used residential, multi-family, land sales and commercial leasing.

FAMILY AND HOBBIES

Charlene and I are in our 42nd year of marriage and are blessed with two wonderful grandchildren, Ryan (12) and Trysten (9), who live nearby. Fortunately, we get to see them often. Our home life is busy, not only watching the grandchildren compete in hockey, baseball, soccer and gymnastics, but also in caring for our two Schnauzers, Gus and Spike, and our six birds. When time allows, yard work and home maintenance are on the agenda!

After eight Mount McKinley expeditions, I believe my serious mountain climbing days are behind me, but I still manage to scale nearby Flattop Mountain more than one hundred times per year with friends. I also enjoy riding my Harley-Davidson with a small group of fellow riders on nice days during the summer months.

To me, Real Estate has been an extremely enjoyable occupation. It can also be one of the most stressful, and over the years I think I've managed to learn the importance of maintaining a balance between family, work and recreation.
